First stop: Need an <$MTEntryTrackbackID$> tag, otherwise I am dead in the water. Dig around for the code that creates <$MTEntryTrackbackLink$>, find it in /mt/lib/MT/Template/context.pm. Extract code to my plugin file, remove code until it only returns the Trackback ID, add the appropriate MT::Template::Context call. Viola!
