Lessee… The basic ping retrieval API is nailed down and I was thinking of release it last night, but I decided that I should complete my implementation first. The PHP code for the API itself is done, freshly refactored for cleanliness and error handling, but I hadn’t started working on a UI for managing accounts / weblogs.
Thinking about the UI it occured to me that extending the API with some optional methods would be worthwhile. A couple of methods to handle signup and weblog registration are all that’s needed. I can implement the UI as an XML-RPC client and avoid tying it to the data store.
