Exchange Blog

22Dec02

Exchange Server 2000 rocks. Within a couple of hours, I’ve been able to render my weblog posts directly from an Exchange public folder. [Ingo Rammer]

I hate Exchange as much as the next SysAdmin, but… Ingo has put together quite a list of advantages over traditional weblog platforms. And I can think of a few others, like spell check.

From a KM perspective, for a shop that wants to dabble with weblogs and already has Exchange infrastructure, it is a compelling weblog platform. Tons of knowledge is already being passed through Exchange, it just needs to be captured, organized, and published. The interface is familar, users are comfortable with it. There’s nothing to install, near-zero learning curve, and it jacks right in to the regular e-mail workflow.

It’s hard to deny that it’s pretty damned cool.
