Spam Assassin 2.50 is out, now with Bayesian filtering based on techniques from Paul Graham, Graham Robinson, and SpamBayes. What exactly that means, I have no clue.
POPFile received a fabulous review from Internet Week. It’s also made the PricelessWare list, “The best of the best in Windows Freeware, as determined by the readers of alt.comp.freeware.”
Kevin Werbach installed POPFile last week, the results haven’t been impressive. Kevin seems to have the mailbox from hell: high volume, > 60% spam, and a large number of “spammy” non-spam messages.
