Listening to the conference call on my Treo. Being handled as part of the PalmSource spin-off, targetted for the Fall. Palm will give Handspring a $10 Million line-of-credit until the merger completes. Synergy, Smart Phones, Handspring has carrier relationships, Palm has a strong brand and retail presense, blah blah blah.
Treo brand will continue as Palm’s wireless line. Conspicuously absent was any mention of the Tungsten W.
This deal says to me that Handspring does not believe the Treo 600 will bring them to profitability.
