Last week, CNET reported that spam now comprises 51% of e-mail in the workplace.
Meng Weng Wong of pobox has proposed Sender Permitted From as the solution to spam, a hybrid of Reverse MX and Designated Mailer Protocol. Each uses DNS to combat sender forgery, an interesting approach that doesn’t require changes to MUAs or user behavior.
Today, POPFile 0.18.2 and 0.19 have been released. 0.18.2 is a bugfix release, while 0.19 is a major overhaul with many enhancements and experimental SMTP, NNTP, and XML-RPC modules.
