This is the same spare unit that I was trying to sell back in December — I had found a buyer for it quickly, but they never came through with the cash and I eventually forgot about it.
This time, I’m giving eBay a shot. Lots of information about the Empeg / Rio Car is available from RioCar.org and The Unofficial Empeg / Rio Car BBS. I can’t say enough about how great these car MP3 players are. The unit itself has fewer buttons than most factory head units. The user interface is elegant and simple enough for anyone to use. And unlike similar products from Sony and others, the Empeg has Ethernet and USB ports that allow you to transfer MP3s directly from your PC.
