Here’s a quick photo comparison of almost all the phones I had handy at home. From left to right: Handspring Treo 180, Nokia 8890, Motorola MPX-200, Audiovox SMT5600, Nokia 8290, Nokia 3650.

Critics of my crappy camera work and poor lighting may be shot on sight.
I love to bash that old 3650 — it’s huge, ugly, and generally a nightmare to use — but it did have one good feature: a battery that would not quit. After today’s use the SMT5600 claims to have 33% battery remaining. Roughly 14 hours since I unplugged it. Probably 3 hours with my Bluetooth headset paired up, 30 minutes on calls, and 30 minutes playing games on smoke breaks. It’s not horrible, but it ain’t that great either.
Update: Second day, roughly 16 hours on battery, 43% remaining. No calls today — nobody loves me. Bluetooth off, about an hour online and 30 minutes on games.
