Got to work this morning to find my LCD monitor no longer functioning properly — when first powered on, or whenever the graphics mode changed, it would flash the image for a second and go dark. This was the first LCD that I purchased, somewhere around 16 months ago. The good news is that the warranty card says 36 months. Thank you Hyundai!
The bad news is that for the rest of the day I’ll be stuck with an old, crappy 17-inch CRT with a curved tube that can’t even muster 1280×1025 @ >60Hz. I predict a monster headache by the end of the day…
Tuesday Update: Now I remember why my other 17-inch LCD got stuck pulling KVM duty — it’s whites are cornea-scorchingly bright. My eyes just can’t win this week…
