In my mind a vacation feature needs to provide just three settings:
- Record all programs at a reduced quality.
- Disable the recording of re-runs.
- Disable the recording of specific programs.
It’s tempting to want more options, but this seems like the right balance between benefit, ease of use, and ease of implementation.
I’d bet that a competent MythTV hacker could implement this feature in a single day…
