Daylight Savings Time totally kicked my ass this year. My internal clock is still more out of whack than normal but at least so far this week I’ve managed to get to work at something approaching my usual time. Last week I was seriously late every day…

My mother re-discovered my weblog while Googling her father. She says I need to hire a proofreader.

I may have jumped the gun on the PSP charger problem. It seems that the Power LED on the PSP does not turn Amber when plugged in if the battery is fully charged. I could swear that when I would go into the Battery Information screen it was showing the Power Source as Battery instead of External, but I haven’t had any trouble since the day after my previous post.

All but a half-day of my vacation request were finally approved. I’ll land in Munich the morning of May 4th and depart on the 19th. It looks assinine on the calendar but those dates saved me several hundred dollars on the flight.
Unfortunately the flight is on Delta. My history with Delta is that they’ve always managed to screw up at least one leg of a round-trip. I’d meant to book an Air France flight for the return but the booking site dumped my session right at the end and I goofed the second time around. I don’t go back to work until the 23rd so I won’t be screwed if Delta strands me in ATL and I’ll have a three-day weekend to recover from my vacation.
My plan so far is to be in Regensburg the weekend of the 13th for the start of the Mai Dult. Everything else is uncertain — I’m incapable of making detailed vacation plans, and this trip is all the more difficult because I was originally aiming for 5 weeks off with triple the budget. I think one of my friends has offered me a couch in Munich for the first couple of days. I want a few days in Prague, it’s only a 4-hour train from Regensburg so it’s not like I really have to plan ahead. If by some miracle I’ve manage to not blow my entire budget at that point then I will hop some discount flights to Warsaw and Berlin.
If anyone wants to meet up near those cities, has a spare bedroom to offer, or thinks I can have a better time for fewer dollars in some smaller cities, let me know.
