My new memory card and batteries arrived on Monday. It amazes me that someone thought miniSD isn’t small enough and came up with Transflash. In the camera, the new miniSD card is much faster than my ancient 128MB SD card. Shooting in continuous mode the camera seems to be able to write pictures to the card as fast as it can shoot them.
The batteries from eBay are completely generic — “Made in China”, manufacturer unknown, nothing under the label. This reminds me of those exploding cell phone batteries, I don’t think I’ll be leaving them plugged into anything longer than is absolutely necessary…
They’re a tight fit in the Panasonic charger but fit perfectly in the camera. The alleged specs are .1V and 110mAh less than the factory battery but the camera doesn’t appear to mind.
