Incomprehensible

29May05

Choosing the right cellular plan is incredibly hard.
Right now I’m paying $57.12 per month for my cellular service. I have been planning to buy a Blackberry 7290 from T-Mobile on their stand-alone plan for $30 per month, which would push me over $90 per month with taxes and “fees”. That’s too much.
So I started looking […]

Lame

Given the frequency at which T-Mobile’s systems are compromised, I suppose that this useless and incorrect error message is for the best…

Lazy Friday

20May05

Delta called me at 7AM to say they’d deliver my missing luggage by noon. They were late. Customs did not steal my Absinth.
Forza Motorsport puts GT4 to shame in all respects. Go. Buy. Now.
Update: You can’t copy Forza save games off of the X-box hard drive. Shame on Microsoft for even creating such a “feature.”

Oy.

I stopped flying Delta nearly ten years ago because they either (a) mis-route my luggage or (b) strand me in Atlanta for countless hours. Today they went with the luggage.
Delta sucks.
And some fool turned off my Media Center yesterday, causing it to miss Alias, Lost, and Smallville. The MPAA seems to have finally gotten around […]

All good things…

I just forked over EU 9.50 to Swisscom for 2 hours of WiFi access at MUC. A total rip, but I’ve got a lot of time to kill and it’s actually very fast (unlike Paul’s DSL).
Over here they are now hand examining all checked baggage prior to being issued a boarding pass. If I were […]

207 Photos

Wow, I’m up to 207 photos from this trip on Flickr.
Last night Robert took us to a “Reggae Party” in one of the basement clubs that are everywhere in Regensburg. Reggae is huge over here, and in any crowded place you’ll see a few people in dreadlocks. I’m not so much into Reggae, and I […]

Relaxing…

15May05

Saturday I spent a little time at the Mai Dult with Eva, met up with Bruce there, and we “got the band back together” for dinner. Ingo, Paul, Bruce, Holger, and I. Just like old times…
Afterwards I went with Holger and Eva to a new nightclub complex that popped up after I left. All of […]

Left Prague

13May05

I really should have checked the damned schedule to catch the early-morning direct train. The 4-ish hour direct ride turned into 6+ hours with 4 train changes. The second switch was in this podunk town where you have to walk across the tracks and they haul out signs to indicate which train it is. My […]
