Thank you Congress for not having the cajones to renew the so-called Assault Weapons Ban during an election year. This particular weapon is a Bushmaster Carbon 15 Model 4, styled after the US Special Operations Command’s M4A1 . Differentiating it from your mother’s M4A1 knock-off are composite materials in the upper and lower receivers, making it 3/4s of a pound lighter, a raised Picatinny rail instead of the more common “flat top”, and a permanently installed compensator that allows the 14.5″ barrel to meet the BATF’s 16″ length requirement. And to give it a little something extra I’ve ordered bayonet lug rail mount adapter and a laser sight.
