In my dream

23Feb08

I ate my iPhone. It was crunchy and tasted of nuget.

Ownage

Richard told me that you don’t really own the bike until you’ve dropped it. Well, Saturday afternoon I finally got around to buying a new full-faced helmet and about 40 minutes into my first ride the bike and I got owned by a median. Luckily the median was the grassy variety with no trees. After […]

Car Handsfree

04Oct07

Just ordered myself a Motorola T605 Bluetooth Car Kit. I’ve been wanting a car handsfree forever (I hate headsets) and this one seems to have the best features for the money — A2DP, AVRCP, 3.5mm audio pass-thru, and automatic volume adjustment. Install ought to be a snap, just plug it in between my iPhone dock […]

iPhone Annoyances #12

Why doesn’t every iPhone app support rotation? It sure would be nice to be able to use the keyboard in landscape mode for Mail, SMS, Notes, and anywhere else that I have to type. I’ll grant that the on-screen keyboard isn’t as awful as I expected, but I do much better with it in landscape […]

iPhone Annoyances #11

I ordinarily reject more calls than I answer — one of the benefits of being an asshole — but iPhone has stymied my anti-social tendencies by not making it obvious how to do so. On every other phone ever made you just press the End button but iPhone has just one button and End it […]

iPhone Annoyances #10

Which end is fucking up? I swear, every time I pull iPhone out of my pocket it is upside-down.
And why it is that the screen rotates 90 degrees in either direction but not 180 degrees?
I’m going to post one annoying thing about iPhone every day until I run out.

iPhone Annoyances #9

Ringer volume is weak. I’ve missed hearing calls while playing ping pong, standing in line w/ Andy to get Halo 3, and even just sitting in my office. The sound seems to be directed through the holes on the bottom left and it doesn’t take much to block them, significantly muting them.
The vibrate function is […]

iPhone Annoyances #8

27Sep07

The other night I was on a very long call with an old friend that I hadn’t heard from in quite a while. Every so often the phone would vibrate, and like my first iPhone annoyance post there was nothing on the screen to indicate why. It wasn’t another call, or an SMS. My best […]
